About
I've been doing a version of this job my whole life.

It properly clicked at the end of 2025, standing in the most perfect corner of Uruguay, wondering how more people didn't know about this place — and how I could get them there.
But if I'm honest, it started long before that: twelve years of booking travel as an executive assistant in tech, a seven-year run in hotels that began fresh out of college in 2005, and — if you want the real origin story — a cardboard-box travel agency I launched in 1994, staffed entirely by me and a strong affinity for carbon paper.
I love city travel, with its infinite possibilities. I love boisterous group trips, those places that are just best spent with a gaggle of friends around a dinner table. And when I beach, I want the whole place to myself, not another soul in the sand.
That said — this is just how I travel. Let's talk about how you travel.
My career as a luxury hotel concierge and then executive assistant taught me how to extract from others what they actually want. How to read between the lines, and really match the person to the place — whoever and wherever they are.
The long way here
Four decades, one instinct.
1994
The cardboard box
A travel agency built out of a box, staffed entirely by me and a strong affinity for carbon paper. Nobody booked anything. The instinct stuck.
2005
Hotels, fresh out of college
Seven years on property, much of it as a luxury hotel concierge — the job where you learn to hear the request underneath the request, and find a table at 9pm on a Saturday.
2012
Twelve years in tech
Executive assistant work: booking travel at volume, for people whose time had no slack in it. Complex routing, last-minute changes, and calm as a professional requirement.
2025
Uruguay
Standing in the most perfect corner of a country most people I knew had never considered, wondering how more people didn't know about this place — and how I could get them there.
Why Fora
An independent practice with a very large address book.
I work as an independent advisor under Fora Travel, which gives me preferred partnerships with thousands of hotels worldwide — the perks, the rates, and most usefully, the direct line to someone at the property who can make a decision.
